Shadow Work, a powerful personal development tool, allows you to delve into the hidden parts of your psyche, uncovering and embracing your shadow side.
This journey is about recognising and reclaiming the disowned parts of yourself, including those patterns, emotions, and talents that have remained under the radar in your life. In doing so, you unlock the full spectrum of your emotional landscape, transforming challenges like anger, grief, and fear into power, deep connection, and insightful understanding.
The retreat offers a blend of group exercises, visualisations, and individual processes. Whether you're seeking to shift old behavioural patterns, enhance your relationships, or simply deepen your self-understanding, our Shadow Work Retreats provides the tools and support to catalyse change.
During the retreat, you will be immersed in a variety of interactive and experiential learning activities. The program begins with group exercises that set the stage for self-exploration. These activities are designed not just to introduce you to the principles of Shadow Work but to engage you in a process of self-discovery. You will participate in individual centerwork, an opportunity to address your specific life issues in a supportive, group-centered environment. This process involves a deep exploration of your personal patterns and behaviours. Our skilled facilitators use Shadow Work tools to help you symbolically reconstruct and objectively view your issues. This approach offers new perspectives and powerful techniques for reclaiming the energy in the shadow, leading to transformative personal growth. The retreat also allows for reflection and sharing, enabling you to process your experiences within a supportive group.
The power of our Shadow Work weekend Retreat is significantly enhanced by the group dynamics. Being part of a group journey provides a unique mirror to your own experiences, as you witness and support the transformative work of others. This collective environment can foster a deep sense of empathy, acceptance, and shared learning. As participants engage in their individual centerwork, the group acts as a supportive witness, providing a safe space for everyone to delve into their shadows. This shared experience often reveals common themes and can resonate with your own journey, offering additional insights and learning opportunities. The retreat's group setting enhances the individual's journey, creating a space for both personal and collective transformation.

“My life has turned technicolour! I had no idea I was carrying so much grief and that this was stopping me from feeling authentic, deep joy. I am much more intimately connected to my partner, who says I have ‘softened’, I opened up to my children for the first time, I went traveling solo for the first time in my life and took time just for me, and I’ve set up several new initiatives to bring different groups together at work and offer them support. For the first time I’m able to plan the future, whereas before I couldn’t even think about it and I am living much more in the present with so much gratitude.”
It was a profound and emotional experience, but one which also equipped me with tangible, practical tools I can access in an instant, and apply to be the best version of myself in my daily life. Learning about the archetypes was so enlightening – it helped me make sense of my own behaviour as well as giving me insights into why other people act the way they do. The process work throughout the weekend was artfully and skilfully delivered by the facilitators, who were extraordinary in their ability to take the participants on a paradigm-shifting journey. Each experience evoked a deep empathy which has stayed with me ever since, and even though I always prided myself on building good relationships with people, I find myself now better able to connect, listen, empathise and be present. Going through my own ‘process’ helped me connect with a part of myself I’d neglected, and provided me with a new-found inner strength, clearer boundaries and stronger sense of self-worth. I have since been able to deal with some very challenging situations with greater confidence and ease, instead of overwhelming frustration and upset. I would recommend this workshop retreat to anyone.
I'm not sure I have the words to fully describe the weekend, but I do know that it has been transformative in ways that I am still uncovering a month later. Alexandra and Sascha were so wonderfully facilitative whilst keeping in mind everybody's different needs and paces. I myself, am an introvert that is slow to warm up to people, especially in groups, but barriers were broken down so quickly in a gentle way that I cannot elucidate the bonds I formed with people that I had known for a matter of hours. Any worries or concerns that I had were quickly put to rest in amazing communication beforehand and there was no pressure to do anything that put me out of my comfort zone whilst there. If you are looking for an illuminating, life- enhancing experience of self and the patterns that you keep playing out, that you have no answers or explanations for, then this is for you.

I’m not ashamed to say I cried tears of compassion for myself for the first time. In the right hands, this is work which can unblock emotions that have been stuck for decades. I highly recommend it and will definitely be coming back
I think the most important thing I’m taking away is how to recognise and work with certain parts of me that I had previously been ignoring or fighting with. You guided me with incredible clarity and warmth, and the blessing was the most touching thing I’ve ever received. Deep gratitude to you.
I now have a choice over how I respond when I feel angry, where in the past I found myself at the mercy of my uncontrolled emotional reactions. I have also given up alcohol which was an unexpected side effect of our work together! I highly recommend Shadow Work
Shadow Work is for those seeking to understand their behaviors, unlock emotions, and transcend old patterns. It's about catalysing change, transforming anger into power, grief into deep connection, fear into insight, and finding compassion, empathy, and acceptance.
As Debbie Ford beautifully stated, “Our shadows hold the essence of who we are. They hold our most treasured gifts. By facing these aspects of ourselves, we become free to experience our glorious totality: the good and the bad, the dark and the light.”
Robert Bly once said, "The door to the soul is unlocked; you do not need to please the doorkeeper, the door in front of you is yours, intended for you, and the doorkeeper obeys when spoken to." Our Shadow Work retreat can be your door to profound self-discovery and emotional healing.
In our Shadow Work Retreats, the facilitation is uniquely tailored to respect the individual's journey and agency. Our facilitators guide from behind, empowering you to lead your own exploration. This approach ensures that the journey into your inner world is self-directed and aligned with your personal comfort and readiness.
Think of the process as peeling an onion. You have the freedom to peel it layer by layer, revealing insights at a pace that feels right for you. Alternatively, if you're ready, you can choose to cut right in, diving deep into the core of your experiences and emotions. This flexibility allows you to engage with your shadow at a depth that resonates with your current state of being.
Our facilitators are skilled in creating a safe and supportive space where you can explore your shadows with confidence. They provide guidance and tools, but the direction and depth of the work are always in your hands. This approach honors your autonomy and acknowledges that true healing and transformation come from within. Whether you choose to explore gradually or dive deep, our retreat offers a compassionate and empowering environment for your journey.
